Counting Crows - “Sullivan Street”

If any record stands the test of time, it’s 1993’s August & Everything After. This is why I had to listen to the entire thing while deciding which song to showcase, and even now I am second guessing myself. Yes it’s depressing and whiny, but who can’t relate to that? The big downbeats and Maria McKee’s backing vocals make this especially sweet.  Oh and the dreadlocks? Fake.
